About the founder

Utsav A. Bhatt is a strategy advisor, entrepreneur, and author focused on helping organizations drive AI adoption and innovation-led growth. 

 

With over 18 years of experience, he has worked with leadership teams across North America, Asia-Pacific, the Nordics, Africa, and Australia. His work spans industries including professional services, banking, consumer electronics, media, food and beverage, and automotive, helping organizations navigate growth, innovation, and large-scale change in rapidly evolving markets.

Earlier in his career, Utsav spent over a decade in the technology and IT services sector, working closely with CIOs, Heads of IT, and digital leadership teams. During this time, he led large-scale cost optimization and efficiency programs, gaining a deep understanding of how organizations operate at scale and where execution typically slows down. This experience shapes his perspective on AI adoption today: while technology enables change, the real challenge lies in redesigning workflows, incentives, and leadership behaviors so organizations can fully realize its value.

 

As an Associate Partner at Innosight Consulting, the strategy firm co-founded by Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen, Utsav worked closely with C-level executives on disruptive innovation, business model transformation, and organizational change. His work was featured in the Harvard Business Review, and projects he supported contributed to clients earning industry recognition, including the Financial Times award for “Most Innovative Law Firm in Asia-Pacific.”

 

Across his career, Utsav has worked at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and leadership transformation. He has designed and delivered executive programs that help leaders rethink business models, redesign organizations, and build the capabilities required to compete in periods of disruption. These engagements have equipped hundreds of senior leaders with practical frameworks to navigate uncertainty and drive change within their organizations.

 

In 2023, Utsav founded StratOff, an alternative consulting model built for the AI era. StratOff works with leadership teams as a strategy co-pilot, helping make AI adoption happen and drive innovation-led growth. The model challenges traditional consulting structures by combining senior strategic judgment with AI-enabled research and execution support, and by working alongside teams to turn ambition into execution while the business continues to run.

 

Alongside his advisory work, Utsav is the author of Alt-Consulting, a book exploring how AI and new operating models are reshaping the consulting industry. He also hosts the Alt-Consulting Conversations podcast, where he engages global leaders on the future of strategy, consulting, and organizational transformation.

 

Utsav holds an MBA with double gold medals from the S.P. Jain School of Global Management and the Schulich School of Business, and was a top ranker in engineering at Mumbai University. He is a frequent speaker at leadership forums, strategy off-sites, and executive programs, where he shares insights on AI adoption, innovation-led growth, and the evolving nature of strategy work.
